I am 52 and a widow. I have 3 grown wonderful daughters, who try to keep me busy. I have 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. (Bet my grand kids are cuter than yours). I was diagnosed with MS a few years ago and thought little about it until it began to steal my life. I began looking for something creative to do since I had always been a very busy person. God was gracious to me he sent me 2 very special cousins to help me. The one brought our family tree over and asked if I would organize it since she was still working full time and she knew I was now looking for something to do. Well I got hooked. Then she gave me all the genealogy books she had collected. The other one gave me the courage to begin sharing what I had with others. He helped me learn to build web pages, and helped me regain my confidence. And of course my girls who are my strength and support. I then found a mailing list that was interested in the things I had. I began sharing my information with other people and it once again gave me the joy of being able to give. So don't be afraid to ask for a lookup, you are then helping me! I never realized before how hard it is to give, without a receiver. The receiver is just as important as the giver.
